Highlights Anconas originated in Eastern Italy near the port of Ancona and were first known as Italians. Ancona chicks have black backs with white heads, chest, abdomen and wing tips. They have single combs and clean, yellow legs and feet. Adults are greenish black with about one in every five feathers being tipped with white. They are sometimes referred to as Mottled Leghorns, as they are similar to Leghorns in body confirmation and white egg production. Ancona Blue Star Blue Stars are a cross between a Blue Andalusian and a Barred Rock. Chicks will be blue, grey or splash. Their size, temperament and production will mimic that of a Barred Rock. 1-800-243-3257 | IDEALPOULTRY.COM 17 tt 3 ier
