Ideal recommends the following upon arrival: 1) Provide an abundance of fresh sugar water in shallow water founts, with the water no more than 1/2 inch deep. 2) After about 10 -15 minutes, when all the ducklings have had an opportunity to drink, remove all the water. 3) After 10 -15 minutes without water, return the water and repeat this process 1 or 2 more times and do not let them ever run out of water. Our experience has shown that this process reduces the incidence of water logging, which is the main cause of early duckling mortality. 1-800-243-3257 | IDEALPOULTRY.COM 44
